Ans: A woman got into the bus with her little beady-eyed Pekinese dog. When the conductor’s eyes rested on the dog, the author felt that trouble was coming up.

(2) Mention two demands made by the passengers when the bus stopped.

Ans: When the bus stopped, two demands made by the passengers are – (i) They wanted to call the police to lodge a report against the bus conductor, (ii) They wanted to make the conductor give their fares back.

(3) How are rules of guidance to be observed?

Ans: The rules of guidance are to be observed in the spirit and not in the letter for the comfort of the passengers. One can use his common sense to observe the rule of guidance.

Making Orange Juice

Orange juice is a healthy drink. Making of orange juice goes through a number of steps to obtain it. At first, oranges are bought from the market. Next, the oranges are sorted to find the best ones. After that, rotten oranges are removed and thrown away. Then, the good oranges are cleaned with water. Next, the cleaned oranges are peeled. After that, the peeled oranges are put into a juicer to extract the fresh juice. Next, sugar and preservatives are added to the juice. Then, the juice is poured into clean bottles and sealed tightly. Now, it is ready to be sold in the market.

Write a paragraph within 100 words on how you plan to take care of street dogs. Use the following hints:

Take Care of Street Dogs

Dogs are the most faithful animals. But some people are very cruel to the street dogs. Some careless people hit them or throw stones at them. Some people suggest to kill them. This is very sad and wrong. We must take care of these dog because they have no homes. I plan to give them food and water every day. I will also talk to a vet to give them medicine if they are sick. We can build small shelters to keep them warm in winter. We all should remember one thing that street dogs deserve our love and kindness. We should protect them and keep them safe.
